All and everything

bah, once again i haven't posted on here for a while, with me being busy and all. i finally got my results for my assignment which i passed. I didn't get a mark as high as i expected but its better than a kick in the sack. The one thing that did annoy me is the lad (thing) that did no work towards the assignment got better marks than me and others, this was probably down to the fact that he threated to commit suicide because he didn't want to fail!!!! it should have been irrelevant to the tutor but obviously it "influenced" her decision.

Took a dog called Micey out for a walk on Saturday, its a 3 year old (gorgeous) labrador owned by an even more gorgeous local girl. I wanted to see if was able to be used as a gundog when i go shooting. It is quite obidient the only thing it struggled with was bringing what it picked up back to you, it thought it was a game and refused to drop it. im hoping that after a while i will be able to stop it doing that and get it to retrieve properly.

Went shooting again today which is the way i spend everyday i have off college (Tuesday and Friday). It was only a 150 bird day so we were all finished by 3 O'Clock.

Back at university tomorrow ive got 4 assignments to hand in before the end of Decmeber so im going to be pushed for time but i should be able to manage.

Going Well

I haven't written on my blog for a while, been to busy working and university. Well one of my nice expensive teeth fell out on saturday which isn't very good, i just hope they don't charge me for it again otherwise i won't be happy. Had a night out in shitty Malton on Saturday and got extremely drunk (as usual), I've also decided that after i have completed my sponsored walk in June, that i am spending around 20 days cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats as my next charity event that will be in July during my break from university. Its around 986 miles so in 20 days that is about 50miles per day, hard work but should be good fun. Im starting training for that this Saturday with around a 20miler just to see how i fare, and then will probably go out and do the same on Sunday. Been doing alot of walking on the Wolds to get my fitness up for the walk, so all in all im feeling alot healthier and capable of completing these challenges.

Christmas Comes Early!!

Christmas has come early for me this year and thats because i have wonderful parents who have bought me a hell of alot of stuff this week and it has arrived today. im meant to be waiting until christmas before i can have everything but i suspect with a little persuasion (and my being spoilt) i might be able to have it early. The one thing about being single is ive realised i wont have to purchase as many presents this year.

But i wont even start on the subject of women at the moment cos i dont think i could spend that amount of time typingm my fingers would become stubs, its a story for another day.

Assignments results due tomorrow.

its D day tomorrow i find out whether i managed to excel and get a distinction for my assignment. it worth 50% of my final mark i think so hopefully if its a good mark it will put me in a good position for the rest of the year, that doesn't mean ill stop putting the effort in. I have a point to prove that i can run my own business and complete a degree without breaking a sweat.

Problems??

I think most people who go to work do hard graft and really put the effort in!...i thought so. well i think i might have failed in that respect today, i hit the champagne with sloe gin and cherry brandy with whiskey this morning and ended up completley sloshed before 11 o'clock which made the day go much faster and more enjoyable! now your probably all thinking i have a problem (i have many but wont go in to that now), but the rest of the people "working" were all hammered too and they were the ones offering the booze around. Cant wait to go back to "work" on Friday.

Finally

Finally got my assignment handed in yesterday, it was a mad rush to get everything complete but just scraped by. Now i have a week to wait for the results so kind of hoping i have passed.

[rant]One of the lads in our group had done practically no work for the whole assignment when it came to handing the work in he broke down in tears, but he has nobody but himself to blame for that. That was fine by me i can cope with that, but when he went to fill out his personal assessment he put himself down for 80% effort! hehehe. And at 27 years of age i think he needs to get a grip on things.[/rant]

I was meant to be going down to London today but unfortunately i had to cancel at the last minute so i lost £66 on my non-refundable tickets. Nightmare.

Golf

Played golf today for the first time in a couple of months. Only managed to get in 9 holes because of some stupid slow four ball in front of me and because i was playing by myself i had no standing on the course and they didnt let me through (ridiculous rule). It took about 2 1/2 hours to play 9!!! But not to worry atleast i got some fresh air an exercise and it got me away from my assignment for a while. So ive managed to get my handicap down to 15 over the summer which isnt bad considering ive only played around 7 rounds. Ive set myself a goal of getting down to single figures by September 2008.

Update: Mouse

Got myself another mouse in the garage this morning. The death toll now stands at 7. Woohoo.

Shooting

Just got back from a days shooting, which was very enjoyable. It was for Mr. Burgess of Burgess Feeds Group, who must be very happy with the days outcome. Was tempted to go find a bonfire and fireworks display tonight but have since changed my mind cos i cant be arsed and have no one to go with!! (Mr. No Friends). So Im out in rocking Malton tonight instead which is always something to "look forward to".

Ive just spent the last week solving the mice infestation in our garage. They had got into our cars and chewed through hundreds of pounds of fishing tackle and made a mess of other items. So far the death toll is at 6 and im hoping that this will increase over the next few days! Its amazing how such small creatures can cause so much damage. Animator vs. Animation

We were doing some work the other day with Macromedia Flash, when i was shown this example of animation and what can be achieved. This is possibly the best animation i have seen in Flash EVER! I doubt i'll ever be able to create anything quite as good as this, although even if i could i wouldn't want to devote all the time this guy spent on making it.

Spent all day working on my assignment today and ive finally got myself a working website. Its taken me 9 hours. Shooting tomorrow so won't be able to do anymore on it, but thats a good thing..im sick of it!

Google and DNS

I see a rather alot of people are having issues witht the custom domain settings! ive just been trying to setup my blog to redirect to http://www.rhss.co.uk/ but for some strange reason it said another blog was already hosted there. Strange...thats my domain and there isnt anything there! Whats even more weird is that it would accept http://rhss.co.uk/ which isnt really what i wanted, so Google looks to be having some form of issue with DNS management or something along those lines. But anyhow i've been starring at a damn computer screen for the past 24 hours, so its about time i got my beauty sleep. Im outta here!!

Assignments and Dreamweaver (what nightmares are made of)

Has anybody ever had the pleasure of using that "wonderful" product Dreamweaver, i only ask because its driving me insane. i have an assignment to hand in this Thursday, had a wonderful fully working website until the templates created in Dreamweaver decided to break! (apparently beyond repair). No backups...No assignment.arghhh!! Well atleast i now know what im spending the weekend doing.

Dental Treatment

So my teeth are half-way to being fixed. i had my (very painful) root canal treatment the other day and that seemed to stop most of the pain. Only need to have another 4 appointments over the next 2 months and then hopefully they will be as normal as they can get. So the only problem ill have is paying the £2000 that it costs to get them done.
